Minitube is a native YouTube client. With it you can watch YouTube videos in a new way: you type a keyword, Minitube gives you an endless video stream. Minitube does not require the Flash Player.
Minitube is not about cloning the original YouTube web interface, it aims to create a new TV-like experience.
Current version is 0.8, released on November 16, 2009. Here are the main changes:
* HD video support
* Volume level and mute is restored accross sessions
* No icons in menus on Linux
* Croatian, Latvian, Galician, Hungarian and French translations
Install minitube in ubuntu 9.10
Open terminal enter the following command and press enter
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:neversfelde/ppa
Now you need to update the source list
sudo apt-get update
Install minitube using the following command
sudo apt-get install minitube
